With little sleep attained and working 12-14 hours a day, seven days a week and raiding every night, little in his life isn't dominated by gaming. the story follows one year in his life as his girlfriend and he have minor problems, his company has major ones, and his private life gets thrashed by both.
The comic will take place in game and IRL, though mostly IRL for the characters.

Was born in Japan to unknown parents. Rh- blood factor leads to conclusions he's Caucasian or European Basque. Aside from a small investigation in college, Doesn't really care what he genetically is.
When he turned eighteen, he went to University of Oregon, studying American Literature and minoring in Journalism. Left college before finishing his BA due to selling his first novella and accepting a position at a game company in Seattle, his girlfriend's parents' game studio. Worked as a minor programmer and story design on the first Steamania game, based on his novella. Had an idea about the exact opposite and wrote that novella. The corporate officers liked it and the next game was made based on it. They only leased the story idea and Jake maintained it. Married. The next two games for Steamania came out as Stand-Alone expansions and sold millions. The marriage soon fell apart due to her proclivity to cheat and anger over his devotion to work after they moved to Cali for the new studio.
Soon met Wun Mei.
The two have been dating for almost two years.
Works 12 hours a day on average, seven days a week. As the Loremaster and owner of the IP, nearly everything is under his purview.
Visual characteristics:
Blonde, Blue eyed, six foot one, with a maintained physique. Works out one to two hours a day at the studio while in some teleconference meetings three to five times a week. Usually wears black or urban camo BDUs and hoodees when not at work. At work, wears nice single breasted suits. Hair is usually gelled stiff while still wet and an inch to two long and occasionally wears glasses if he forgets his contacts. When driving, wears icy blue Oakleys. Has been told he looks like a dirty blonde Ben Browder.

A former U15 idol in Japan along with her sister, went to the California College of Arts to study. Met Jake one night in a bar(using another's ID). The two ended up screwing in the restroom and exchanged numbers. The next morning, she was pissed at herself because she thought she wouldn't see the guy again and hated for anyone to think she was just some slut.
The next day on campus, she was stunned to see Jake walking around the campus, showing a sketch of her to people and asking if they knew her. He told her one of his coworkers did the sketch for him after he realized he lost her number. He then asked her out.
In weeks, they were serious and soon his divorce was finalized. He got her sister a job with his company and never regretted it.
Her hair in the beginning is purple, blue, and green and to her shoulders. Later, she bleaches it a soft blonde. Has B/C cups and waxes it to a landing strip. Jake is the second man she's been with, the first more than once.
Use Reon Kadena as a reference for Mei and Min. Adores Hello Kitty.

The older sister, she worked for a Japanese data processor until she received the job offer from CarpSoft. Jumped at it due to always wanting to live in California. Dresses particularly fetishistic and/or fifties style. Also has a large collection of cosplay outfits. Is one of the main programmers on the Cyberiana: Worlds at War project.
Her hair is just past the bottom of her shoulder blades and normally held back in a loose ponytail. Wear's a b cup for most companies, some are a cups.
Jokes a lot about sharing Jake with her sister and in the past has stolen a number of Mei's boyfriends because she wouldn't have sex and Min would. Feels guilty but is extremely attracted to Jake. Doing her best not to come on to him but would jump into bed with them both in a second if Mei said yes to her repeated suggestions about threesomes or letting Min borrow him. Loves eromangas about guy-girl incest or guy-guy incest.

Jake's ex wife's niece, she has had a crush on Jake since the first day they met. Still has a crush on him but Jake doesn't realize it, assumes she's just being a little brat teasing. Lives with him quite often due to the fact she has triplet toddlers for siblings. Her being out of the house is helpful to her parents and they love the hell out of Jake.
Has cinnabar hair and perky c cups she likes to make sure Jake can see. Slightly resembles Lacey Chabert during Party of Five.
Due to an incident in middle school that got a handful of students arrested and three prosecuted with felonies, left school and was homeschooled due to harassment.

Jake's boss and the owner of the largest amount of shares of the studio. Left the main branch due to creative differences. Is the uncle of Jake's ex wife and the greatuncle of Leia. Alcoholic but only on the weekends. Visual cues of.... Hannibal Lector. ^_^

Jake's assistant and occasional whipping boy. Got the job as his assistant by essentially pleading. Jake agreed with the stipulation he may fire him at any moment. The first day, Jake told him "Good job, I may fire you tomorrow". From then on, for the next two years, Jake told him the same thing every day. Has only recently stopped doing it and instead constantly "fires" him, mostly when Seth says something annoying. Maintains Jake's blog, bio site, and the guild website for him.
Five foot two, with brown hair and brown eyes, resembles Stephen Baldwin in Bio-Dome without the braids.
